Many will dispute the need to have this pencil, but take my words: Having an Apple Pencil is a must if you want to fully experience the benefits of digital planning. Choose between a first-generation and a second-generation pen based on your iPad version.
Apple Pencil 1st generation #
The first-generation pen is suitable for many kinds of tablets such as:
- iPad (6th, 7th,8th, 9th generation);
- iPad Air (3rd generation);
- iPad Mini (5th generation);
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation);
- iPad Pro 10.5-inch;
- iPad Pro 9.7-inch.
This pencils pairs and charges via Lightning by plugging it into the iPad bottom side. 😊
Apple Pencil 2nd generation #
The second generation is more advanced. It fits:
- iPad Mini (6th generation);
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd, 4th,5th generation);
- iPad Pro 11-inch (1st, 2nd,3rd generation);
- iPad Air (4th generation)
Unlike the previous model, this pencil attaches magnetically to the side of your compatible iPad and automatically pairs and charges on the go. However, I must admit it can be a little bit pricey.
Special caution #
One thing you have thought me is that the Matte Screen Protector may affect your Apple Pencil Top. For some users who put a lot of pressure while writing, to top of the Apple Pen may go blunt. To avoid this, make sure you have a permanent stock of tops.
